- Huawei has been selected to deploy on turkey basis the latest state of the art converged next generation IP network in Congo Brazzaville. The network is EDGE capable.
- The network in phase 1 will support 280,000 customers at urban 30mE, Sub-Urban 285mE, Rural 20mE – Busy hour capacity. The network is expected to be commercially launched by October 2007.
- The network has already been approved for further increase to 580,000 customers and upon its completion Warid Congo will become the largest mobile telecom network in the country.
- The network will have a full suite of latest product and service offerings to the customers including, but not limited to, Voice, SMS, MMS, VMS, and GPRS etc.
